A few changes stroke in my life recently, left me clueless, and torn between escaping to fulfilling my own dreams, and my other obligations, but after a few days of struggling and reaching inside myself for an answer I realized that the temporarily escape won’t likely bring much satisfaction anyhow, and that doing what’s expected doesn’t necessarily prevent me from cultivating my unfulfilled dreams.
On a second note, although many people are complaining about snow, I personally found it a great chance to spend some quality time with the whole family; we played cards, watched lots of movies together, it’s amazing what you could learn about the closest people to you only if you open your mind and are welling to learn. And since my home internet connection was disconnected at that time, I decided to stop cursing my luck for that, and spend my time reading, I finished The Kite runner which is an enchanting book by the way, and started reading A thousand splendid suns by the same author (Kalid Hussaini),
I also managed to get myself a copy of (Nineteen Eighty- four) By George Orwell which I will start reading with Asoom's Bloggers book club, I still don’t know when did I develop the habit of reading more than one book at the same time but along with A thousand splendid suns, I started reading The five people you meet in heaven by Mitch Albom which is a small book that fits in my bag and I can read in every were, unlike the A thousand splendid suns which is really big and heavy to carry around. And since I love taking walks in all weathers, Me and Adam went for a snowy morning walk and breakfast, we had pancakes, and walked to down town, had some hot chocolate and bought some more DVDs and then walked back home again…
Amman is such a beautiful city.
I’ll leave you with some pictures…
